After Thanksgiving – Time

Well, the holiday is over. The nice 4 day weekend flew by, as was expected. My weight didn’t go up too much which is good.

You know my biggest complaint about getting older is how quickly time goes by. It just goes by way too fast. I don’t understand. I spend every day trying to grab a hold of it and slow it down, appreciate every day, experience every day, but it’s like the river of time just keeps going faster and faster and faster… and it freaks me out and I don’t know what to do. I feel like I’m slipping on ice half the time.
:(

Ugh.

Firefox 2

Well then! Not sure why I haven’t gotten it until now, but just downloaded it. Looks quite nice so far.

Bad Chicken Parts!

Okay, I don’t know for sure that the chicken parts were bad, but another girl who feeds raw and just moved into town and was feeding her dogs chicken parts from the same place I was feeding from… she said her dogs also got runny on them! Ugh!

So during those months I was struggling with the bone/meat ratio thinking I had it wrong, it was probably the chicken parts! Since I’ve had them on Oma’s Pride Chicken Necks, they have been fine. These are more than twice as expensive, but they are hormone and antibiotic free, and the dogs love them.

Guess I won’t be buying from that bad source anymore. I haven’t heard if anyone else has had that problem. What a pain. I’m going to readjust my bone/meat ratio, give them more meat, see how that works now that I know what the heck was going on!

Also, I went to Walmart and bought some beef heart to use as treats. Chase likes cheese okay, but I think when we are doing obedience he needs something better. Obedience is so hard for him. He really doesn’t like just sitting there and being still. He’d rather run full-speed-amok all over the place. All five dogs were crazy about the heart last night, I’ll try it out tonight and Thursday on Chase, see how he does!

Vista

MS Vista is coming. Hrm… January of 2007 I hear. I wonder what it’ll be like. I still wish I had Linux on my laptop but I’m too chicken of getting my MS apps to work right. Hrmph.

I really love the gadgets they will have available on the desktop. I’ve been looking for one of those for ages. Since my PDA was outdated by my laptop. I loved having my daily screen on my Dell Axim, showing me my appointments and tasks for the day. I’ve found limited things like this for my laptop’s desktop. I use Active Desktop Calendar, which is okay, but has crappy support for Outlook Tasks. I only want current Outlook Tasks to show thank you very much.

So I am not currently using Outlook, just the ADC calendar, tasks, and contacts. But you can’t set a recurring event to have a recurring alarm, which is also dumb. So it’s just a so-so app. It gets me by. I forget everything, must have it down somewhere to remember.

I’m still glad about the elections. :)

Mondays

Mondays are no fun, and I want to go home and go back to sleep.

Happy 7th Birthday Levi

Today is Levi’s 7th Birthday. Wow, I can’t beleive it was so long ago when I picked up that tiny little 12 week old puppy boy. All shy and worried. He still gets shy and worried but he’s better now. He’s my sweet handsome boy.

Getting Paged

Getting paged at 4:50 am on a Sunday is not fun. Hopefully I can go back to sleep. And my pager was in the kitchen so I didn’t hear it, but Lucy did, and laid on top of me to wake me up. Sweet smart girl (though really it’s only because she and the other dogs hate the sound of the pager.)

Good night.

Saturday in November

It was nice and rainy today. I love the rain. Overcast a bit too. Though it cleared up to practice some agility out at a regular practice yard. Unfortunatly Levi’s weaves were not good. Not as good as last Monday in class. Sigh… not sure if I’ll ever be able to fix him. He got one good set in and we stopped. I hope that helps.

Chase did really well. He is starting to pay attention to me a lot more I think. Of course we won’t know how he really is until we trial. We have a USDAA trial in December, only going one day, we’ll see how he does. Levi is entered too, to check on his weaves. Not sure if I’ll enter him in the AKC trials in Jan or Feb 2007. I do so want to get him into excellent, but he needs more positive experiences first.

Sigh.. back to some knitting.
