Oh good grief! Are you kidding!? What ever happened to personal responsibility!

Honestly, I find it amazing that just this morning I read in my local paper that Albany,NY is looking to get free wireless for the entire city... and here UT is trying to get rid of it..

d'oh!

As one of the SysAdmins over at XMission, I have to drop by and thank you for the kind words. We're happy to provide the free wireless service downtown and we're certainly grateful to people who use it and appreciate it.

Feel free to drop by our office anytime you'd like and say hello. :]

What a ridiculous idea. People should be able to do what they want with their WiFi, and if that means sharing, then so be it. Children can do a lot of things, and I agree that it all comes down to parenting and how you teach your children. These sorts of steps only avoid the real issue.

Anyway, I am a proponent of open-source and sharing. By cutting off WiFi sharing, it only serves the interests of big time corporations and restricts community ideals. What a silly initiative. I doubt it will stand for long.
