Doing Dishes

My husband and I both hate doing the dishes. Neither of us like cleaning the house, vacuuming, mowing the lawn, dusting, or doing any of those things that make a house presentable, smooth running, and nice. Dang, I wish my Mom were still around to pick up after me. 
But alas, I am an adult now.
My husband and I work things out okay. We take turns doing the dishes. I wash my clothes, he washes his. I put mine away, his end up in a bin in his computer room for ever until he wears them. We have a system.
He really wants to start using paper plates and plastic utensils. He did that as a bachelor. Never washed dishes. I can’t do it. I just can’t bring myself to pollute our environment that much. So maybe, just maybe, I’ll step up and do the dishes more, if he really hates it so much. I’ll see what I can do. I hate doing them, too. *sigh* I wish we could afford a maid, too. Hey, maybe my Pay Per Post earnings can pay for that! LOL… but naw, that all goes to collie rescue.

I’m really lucky that my 14 year old daughter has taken on the dishes as her job. I didn’t even have to make her! LOL After doing dishes for so many years, it sure is nice to have someone else doing them!

When we moved into our first unfurnished apartment, we bought a bed, a refrigerator, a card table and chairs, and…a portable dishwasher.
Yes, we SO hated doing dishes.
