Chase on the Flyball Box

30 May, 2007 (22:23) | Chase | By: User ImageCynthia [My Barks!]

Took the new camera (of course, did you think I wouldn’t? lol) to flyball practice tonight. Got a couple of good videos of Chase on the flyball box. :)
Have a look!

On this day..

I don’t know much about flyball training, but that looks pretty darn good to me! Great idea to put the cone there to get the right action. Folks have asked me and Johann to get into flyball. But he doesn’t like tennis balls, at all! LOL!

Thanks! Yeah the cone helps him get all four feet onto the box so he does the nice turn. It’s safer for them that way. If they hit the box with only their two front feet it can be hard on their joints. Which I’m sure you know all about! :)

I have never seen Flyball!!! When you mentioned it in earlier posts I thought you were like throwing a ball or something. I have since looked this up and went to the national website. Unfortunately we don’t have any teams at all here in Hawaii. I may have to travel somewhere to learn it and then start a team. This looks like a whole lot of fun.

No flyball teams in Hawaii? Well that’s not any fun! :) It is a really fun sport. I haven’t been to a tournament yet, Chase and I are going to our first the end of June.
