Hotels and Dogs

Well the Blackfoot hotel called. When I first made reservations I got a smoking room with a fridge and a microwave. Only because they didn’t have a non-smoking room with a fridge available. My friend and I need the fridge for our raw dog food.

Well, they called, they had to move me because they didn’t have a smoking room with a fridge. And they thought smoking took precedence. So they put us in a smoking room with no fridge! Ugh! I called them back, said I don’t care if it’s smoking or non, but I need that fridge! LOL.

They just don’t understand dog people. ;)

Isn’t it amazing how many different worlds we live in? Our dog world just happens to be the best of them!

Ha ha. A lot of people don’t understand dog people, but that doesn’t matter to us. I wonder what they would think if they knew you needed the fridge for raw food for dogs.

i travel to dog shows all the time & usually have NOTHING but drama when i bring the dog. the thing that irks me the most is the ‘pet fee’ that a lot of establishments charge. one of my girlfriends worked at a pretty reputable hotel & after you check out of the room, there is no special cleaning, so the charge is just a way to rip-off people who travel with dogs.

very_vizsla, yeah pet fees are annoying. Fortunately I’ve mostly had luck when hoteling with the dogs.

Jan, we didn’t tell them. It worked out fine though.. we ended up with a non smoking room with a fridge! We were happy with that. :)
