Sam and Mac update

18 June, 2007 (14:56) | Uncategorized | By: User ImageCynthia [My Barks!]

Well, these two boys are still with us. The good news is, we have inquiries on both of them. I hope they work out. I never set my heart on it 100% until they are in their new homes and have been there for a month or so.

The family interested in Mac lives in Logan. They are out of town this weekend and when they get back we will visit their home and see how it would work out. I love seeing the foster dogs in new happy homes.

The people interested in Sammy, though, haven’t gotten back to me. Which makes me worry. I will try calling them again later today. Sam likes to chase the kitties so they would be happy if he got a new home soon. :)

On this day..

I hope they find their forever homes soon. I know how stressful it is trying to find them a perfect fit home. Here is the Diane Morgan poem I give to all of my foster dogs in a sealed envelope. Thought you might enjoy.

A Poem to My Foster Dog

    I am the bridge
Between what was and what can be.
I am the pathway to a new life
    I am made of mush,
Because my heart melted when I saw you, Matted and sore, limping, depressed, Lonely, unwanted, afraid to love.
For one little time you are mine.
I will feed you with my own hand
I will love you with my whole heart.
    I will make you whole.
    I am made of steel.
    Because when the time comes,
When you are well, and sleek
    When your eyes shine
And your tail wags with joy
    Then comes the hard part.
I will let you go – not without a tear,
    But without a regret.
For you are safe forever – A new dog needs me now.
