Squidoo

Okay, I signed up for Squidoo. I really am not sure what to do with it yet, but it seems rather popular as lots of people have ‘lenses’ and are posting lots of information there.

Is it like a blog? A Journal? A static web page? I don’t really get it yet. Hopefully I will learn, but it seems like a time sink and may take more time than I’m willing to put into it.

Anywho, here is Tip Tail’s Lens. So check it out and tell me what I should put in there, because I have no idea. LOL.

    Yeah for you! Google loves Squidoo. I’ve gotten rankings on the first page of Google just a week or two after publishing. Then they go up and down. Once you make a lens – you can let it rest as much as you want, or tweak as much as you want. My biggest challenge is promoting stuff between my stuff, BOL!!!!

    Lenses are static webpages on a specific subject. However, they’re not REALLY static as, in order to keep a good lens ranking, you’re probably going to need to continue to update them.

    I have a couple lens …one that is actually built :D That one is devoted to hermit crabs. The second will be on guinea pigs and I plan to do several more on various topics.

    I have heard Google loves Squidoo, Johann! One reason I put up that page. :) Gotta get more PR! LOL. I will see if I remember to keep it updated.. I put up my RSS feed and videos from YouTube so hopefully that’ll help.
