Lucy’s Cheek
Lucy is doing well. At first the vet thought she did have a bee sting, but only one side of her face is swollen, and the vet said usually the whole muzzle swells up with a sting. So she took Lucy in the back and poked around, and now she thinks Lucy’s tooth on that side is tender and probably abcsessed.
So she’s on anti-biotics and has an appointment to have her tooth extracted next Monday.
My husband doesn’t want me to give her bully sticks any more.
But she loves them, they are so easy to pull out of the box to give, less fatty than pig ears, and they last a long time. So we need suggestions for alternatives.
On this day..

We’ve always done marrow bones.. they can scrape their teeth on them but there isn’t any real chewing.. I’ve never fed bullysticks…
I always thought that by chewing you stimulate blood flow to the teeth which makes them stronger.. I know my own teeth have gotten better since I’ve been using the waterpik on my gums…

Yeah I dunno either. Maybe she has weak teeth. She does have clean teeth and never has needed them cleaned.
