Well, I just worked with Tatum and then we sat for a while… she kept thinking there was more to come, so she looked right at me. And she gave me at least five full seconds of eye contact.
Then after a minute or two, she did it again.
This is huge progress! I love it when she looks right into my eyes and recognizes me as another thinking being. It’s fascinating to watch a dog learn how to learn, how to communicate. We are well on our way!
