Did you know that the trade show industry is the second most waste producing industry in the United States? There is a small business in Denver, Colorado that is working hard to change that statistic. This business, Trade Show Emporium, not only offers green displays, but they recycle old, non-green displays so that they don't end up in landfills. The two employees of this little company make sure to live green as well--they are soy-milk drinking, animal loving tree-huggers. So make sure to support small, eco-friendly businesses like this one, and help our Earth.

I have biodegradable dog poop bags. They break down in direct sunlight. And they are great and sooo handy. I have dispensers in my park too.
http://www.pickupmitts.com/muttmitt/mm_home.htm

From their website:
Why are Mutt Mitts degradable rather than biodegradable?
Biodegradable material relies on microbial action for degradation. Microbes require moisture, oxygen and elevated temperature for survival. Composts use this process to decompose organic material.

Landfills are designed to exclude moisture and compaction reduces oxygen. A majority of dog waste bags end up in landfills. More than just Biodegradable, Mutt Mitts include additional degradants and will degrade even in a landfill.

Lora's last blog post..A HUGE THANK YOU!!!
