Man this getting old stuff sucks. My left ankle is still sprained… yeah yeah I know, stay off it right? Well, that ain’t gonna happen unless all my dogs disappear and I have nothing better do. So it’s braced and I try to take it easy but you know how it goes.
I went jogging at lunch yesterday with Chase and Levi, and the ankle did pretty well. I was careful not to twist it. And stay on cement and roads. That is good for Chase’s pads too, gotta toughen them up for flyball on matts.
And today, for some odd reason, the big toe on my right foot hurts. No idea how or why. I’m sure I twisted it, or something, while concentrating on my ankle.
The body just keeps falling apart. Ugh.

My Mum is feeling old lately! Now that she’s back running me in full practice and long walks and practice in the backyard, she’s sore all the time! Getting old is not good! We agree!

I have a sore ankle too! I haven’t been able to run with my dog for almost two weeks, and it’s terrible. It’s impossible for me to stay off it, but of course that’s what I need to do for it to heal.

Hi Astrid… I don’t have a bike, and I don’t know where to go where the dogs can just run while not on a leash. They would so pull me over… especially Chase!

I hate that feeling! The feeling you are falling apart, literally. It seems like just yesterday I was concerned mainly about boys, cheerleading and what I was going to do over the weekend. Not a “real” care in the world. Fast forward 20 years and its a whole other story!
Hope your toe and ankle feel better. And you really know you shouldnt be jogging on a sprained ankle young lady!

Don’t you wish you could just get a new ankle or something, as needed. I like to read a lot of science fiction.
Hope you are back on your feet soon.

Nothing beats going out for a run with the pups, right? But maybe there's a local dog park you can take them to and let them run free without a leash. We just got a couple of those in our community. At least until your ankle heals and you can start jogging again… I agree with Lora! Safety first!
