The box is spring-loaded. When they touch it (or slam it, more like) the ball springs out and the dog has to catch it. Our box shoots the ball out too slow. Flyball is a lot of energy, even at practice it gets everyone's adrenaline pumping. It's a lot of fun. Two of my dogs aren't physically able to do it, either. Hi Jen.
