Muffit Likes to Burrow

Muffit On The Bed Muffit is such a cute boy. Apparently he likes to burrow himself under the blankets… then scratch scratch scratch himself a bed so it’s comfy, then snuggle in. This is a very cute picture of him on our downstairs bed after he’s moved the blankets over himself.

I’m a bit worried about him… he drinks a lot, and pees a lot. What can be a cause of that? Diabetes? I’m going to ask the vet next time we go in, which will be pretty soon as our dogs are due for checkups. No vaccinations, though, just titers!

Hmm… could be anything.. could be diabetes or it could just be a learned behavior…

We had bloodwork on him when we got him, so hopefully it’s just behavioral.

I was going to say behavioral too. My choc lab has to have a drink EVERY time she walks past the drinkwell. Silly girl! Hope it is nothing major.

Those symptoms can be caused by Cushing’s disease, which is something my last collie had. : (

my dog love to drink alot too…whenever i fill up her bowl, she will finish it straight away, i thought she was too thirsty and i will help her fill it up again..

n at our outdoor training ground, i try not to let her drink so much, coz she keep making excuses to pee when we are running…but she ended up drinking from all the water bowls around us…

it never came across me that this might be something health related…

I think will be fine. Don’t worry too much about it.

Hi Pacco.. yeah it can be. It’s a strange behavior.. but maybe it is an excuse to pee, too. :)
