Well the dog show is over. It was a lot of fun. A bit stressful, like all shows are, so in a way I’m glad that it’s over. I’m so glad I came, though. I’ve had a wonderful time this trip. Probably one of the best vacations I’ve ever taken. And being able to have my dog with me nearly everywhere I go… how can things get better than that? Yesterday we went and visited my Dad’s cousin’s grave. Her name was Sinne and she just died last year. It’s sad to see her grave, but I’m glad I met her back in 1982. I should post a picture of back then. Though my hair was awful… LOL. Oh well, I was 13 and didn’t know how to do hair. That afternoon we drove to Odder and spent some time with Kim and his kids. He has been our wonderful tour guide most of this trip, and we have stayed with his parents in their home. They have been feeding us wonderful meals every day, taking care of us, translating for us, and doing more than we could ever have imagined. I don’t think we can ever express how thankful we are for them to have opened their homes and their hearts to us while we stayed here. Jet is very tired now, and he’ll probably need a week of sleep at home once we get back there. Me too, and Mark too. We are not used to being so active. And it’s been pretty hot and humid too. Tomorrow we are going to take the Ferry from Frederikshavn, Denmark to Gothenburg, Sweden. Then we are going to drive to Jet’s Breeder’s place and see all his family and her other dogs! I am excited about that! We are only going to spend one night there, then Thursday we are driving back to Copenhagen. We’ll stay in Køge Thursday and Friday night, then we fly home on Saturday. I don’t know if I’ll have internet again until we get back in Køge. We’ll see. So until then, have a good few days and I’ll try to blog when we get back to Køge! Oh and here are some more pictures that I posted on Facebook: 2010-06-28 2010-06-29

Jet Won A Blue Ribbon At The World Dog Show!
The World Dog Show was really fun. Here are some pictures, they are on Facebook but anyone should be able to see them. I’ll load up more pictures, and videos, when I get home. Pictures on Facebook And yes.. Jet did get a blue ribbon! LOL but it Denmark blue isn’t first place. There are various ratings, Excellent, Very Good, Good, and Satisfactory. The blue is for Good. So he did better with this judge then last Friday. But he’s still young, like I said, and he will grow into his Farmdog-ness in a year or two. I’m not worried. …Read the Rest
Dog Show in Fredericia, Denmark
Today we went to Fredericia, Denmark, to show in the Danish Swedish Farmdog Club of Denmark’s show (dang that is a long club name LOL). It was interesting and we saw a lot of Farmdogs! There were 69 entered. These pictures are from the breeders group. Jet’s breeder, Stolta Ebbas, had enough dogs to enter the breeder group. This is Jet, his litter mate, and another of the Stolta Ebbas dogs, Caesar. Caesar is 2 years old. The judge didn’t like Jet much at all. Unfortunately. But if you look at Jet, and then at other Farmdogs, Jet is a …Read the Rest
In Vejle, Denmark
We have been having fun in Denmark. We’ve been touring around a lot thanks to a friend who has spent a lot of time with us! And some distant relatives too. I are so lucky to have such great friends and relatives! I’m going to make this short because I’m tired again… but if you want to see all the pictures you’ll have to visit Facebook. You should be able to see them even if you don’t have a Facebook account. I’ve made them viewable by everyone. Excitement Getting to Copenhagen
Well, we made it to Copenhagen. The flight out of Salt Lake City was pretty uneventful. However, when we got on the plane, there wasn’t enough room for the carry on luggage and so I gave mine to the flight attendants at the entry of the airplane. Now I’m not worried about this because I do it all the time when I fly domestic and I just get my bag back at the end of the flight. However, I guess it’s different on an international flight or something… because when they took my bag, they were planning on checking it …Read the Rest
Last Post From the USA
Yup, last post from the USA before my trip to Denmark! Jet and I are all ready to go. He had a bath and had his nails dremmeled. I have everything packed that I can think of. Jet has like 4 collars, 3 harnesses, 3 leashes… well 4 if you count the flexi. Maybe 5 if you count his show lead. LOL. He also has 2 small coats and 1 big coat for if he gets cold. His Mutt Mat. And various and sundry other things. I have clothes and other stuff but my stuff is not as important as …Read the Rest
Fredericia Denmark Dog Show for June 25, 2010
I’ve been looking at Google Maps to check out the places we are going to go… and look at how gorgeous this looks. This is Frederecia, Denmark. This is where the Dansk/svensk Gårdhundeklub will be having their show before the World Dog Show. Yes Jet is entered in this too. View Larger Map It might be too cold to swim, it’s supposed to be in the mid 60s… but that’s okay, it’ll be gorgeous! Now I’m all worried about what to wear. I had something planned, now I don’t think it’s good enough and I might have to go shopping …Read the Rest
Two Days to Denmark
Well, it’s really two and a half days. But when I was in High School, I figured that once I had gotten up in the morning (the worst part of the day) I could count that day over with. LOL. Yeah.. I counted down the remainder of school days quite often back then. I’m so glad I have Friday and Saturday off work. Not sure I’ll have time to blog… I’ll be running around like a head with it’s chicken cut off getting everything done. Actually, I think I have most everything under control. All my ducks are in a …Read the Rest
Three Days To Denmark
Okay so all Jet’s vet appointments are done for Denmark and Sweden. The USDA Federal Veterinarian said that he would need to get dewormed 24 hours before going into Sweden, if we decide to go there. So I’d have to find a vet in Denmark to do that. But that’s fine, I have some good contacts in Denmark so I’m not worried about finding a good vet if we need too. It’s so nice to already be a part of the Danish Swedish Farmdog community in Denmark and Sweden. I’m so glad I have friends there, even though I have …Read the Rest
Dog Water Bowls
So I’ve been reading some other blogs and people have been posting about water bowls. So I thought I would post about my favorite water bowl. I bought this one from a local vendor, though I think they sell a larger version on Clean Run (The bowl in this link is much bigger than the one I have. Mine is like this Aquabowl). This is my most favorite bowl and I hope I never lose it. I almost did once… that reminds me, I need to get some sort of tag for it with my name on it. I love …Read the Rest
Getting Ready for Denmark
Okay… the time is getting close for our trip to Denmark! Jet is entered in the World Dog Show in Herning, Denmark. It is an FCI show and they move it from country to country every year. Next year, in 2011, it will be in Paris France. Then in 2012 it will be in Austria… if I remember correctly. Just got back from the vet with Jet. Taking a dog overseas isn’t easy. I have a stack of papers and I have to take them to the Federal Vet today at 1pm too. I have health certificates and rabies certificates …Read the Rest
