A Trip to the Park

Jet up a Tree

Well, I got up this morning and Jet an Tatum were full of energy and so I thought why not take them to the park. So off we went. They had such a great time. I took Levi, too. He doesn’t get out as much as he should anymore. But he loves it. Even though he’s going to be 11 in only a few days, he’s in really good shape. The colors were really pretty, too, which was nice. I’m… Continue reading »

Jet’s First Flyball!

Flyball

Okay yeah I’m a nut. Jet is not ready to be racing in Flyball… but I’ve been itching to enter him in something. LOL. So on Friday, a fun surprise happened, and they were accepting day of show entries for Singles and Pairs at the U-FLI Flyball Tournament! Well of course I had to enter him. LOL So now I’m watching the video and I’m thinking that he’s really hitting the box with his shoulders, and he’s not hitting it… Continue reading »

A Weekend with the Boys

Silly Jet

A weekend with the boys is awesome. I do wish that I could bring Levi too… and even Tatum, because they love to travel and the do so good at it. But the van is only so big and so some have to stay home. As this posts I am still, yet again, at flyball. But I love spending time with Jet and Chase and having a stress-free competition weekend. I don’t stress at flyball. Not like agility or obedience.… Continue reading »

The Critical Importance of Foundation Work

Jet Flyball Training

Well as this is posted on my blog I’m doing flyball with Chase. And hopefully Jet gets to do some run-backs and even some full lanes. I hope so. He’s such a good boy. Flyball practice last weekend was really making me think about, and appreciate, the importance of foundation training with puppies. Most of my dogs are rescues… and Lucy and Levi, who are not rescues but didn’t get any foundation training at all, show the difference between a… Continue reading »

Flyball Weekend at Jumps N Jackpots

Ky on the Box

We are going to the last flyball tournament of the year this weekend. Leaving Friday (today), coming back Monday. I really don’t have enough leave to take all of Monday off work, but when I get back on Monday I’m going to be so tired that I probably won’t have enough energy to log into work and work, anyway. Oh well, I’ll give it a good try, anyway. Chase will have fun doing flyball again. And Jet… well, I’m amazed… Continue reading »

My New Aquabowls Are Here!!!

Levi and the Aquabowls

A while ago I posted about my favorite dog water bowls… and I was so upset when my aquabowl was left on the stove when the oven was turned on, and a hole was melted in it! I was devastated! Okay maybe not devastated but I was pretty darn sad. I mean, it’s only a thing… but still, it was a very important thing! So off I went to the internet to find out how to get a replacement. And… Continue reading »

Front and Rear Crosses

Jet in a Bed

Well I’ve been wondering about how to train good Front and Rear crosses with Jet. I have had the opportunity to watch Stacy Peardot-Goudy’s Front and Rear Cross DVD and I really, really like it a lot! I would encourage everyone to watch it who is wondering about agility crosses. Anyway, Chase and Levi always had pretty darn good rear crosses, if I do say so myself. However, I never really trained Chase to collect properly for them. So even… Continue reading »

A Little Drawing

PuppyJetKinda

Well just because I thought it would be something fun to do, I drew a little picture of Jet using Paintbrush, the little drawing software program on my Mac. Granted, it’s not very good! LOL I want to be able to draw, but sometimes I’m really not very good at it. Sometimes? Okay, most all the time. Once in a while I can take pencil to paper and come up with something half way decent. But the computer stuff really… Continue reading »
