Levi Likes Little Beds

Levi In the Little Bed

Levi is a goon. He’s one of the most jealous dogs I’ve ever met. Granted, it’s my fault, since I’ve spoiled him rotten since the day I got him. And now, with Jet, Levi is even more jealous. Jet gets to do all the things Levi did before he (Levi) was officially retired. I’m considering taking Levi Tracking to give him something to do. He needs something to do so he doesn’t sit home all day and chew on his… Continue reading »

Temperament Testing

Handsome Jet

Yesterday I took Jet to a Tracking Seminar (day 2 of a two day seminar) in Farmington, Utah. It was during the German Shepherd Dog National Specialty. So not only did they have this tracking seminar going on, they also had conformation, herding, and a bunch of GSDs up there. They also were putting on a Temperament Test and, it was open to all breeds! I was excited because I have wanted to have Jet go through a Temperament Test… Continue reading »

Agility Today with Chase and Tatum

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Well Agility was interesting today. Chase got no Qs. Which is kinda odd, he usually gets at least one. So I’m not going to post any of his runs. I’ll post one of Tatum’s runs! She is such a good girl. She is in Exhibition in ASCA, so it’s a non-qualifying class. So that just means we can go and do whatever, but of course we want to do as much as the course as we can. I put her… Continue reading »

Getting Ready for Agility

Chase

This weekend we have a 2 day ASCA agility trial. Should be fun. Chase and I are ready, since we had fun at DOCNA and the courses are similar. Nice and wide open with lots of room for Chase to stretch out and extend over jumps. It’s what he’s good at. Maybe we’ll be lucky and get some ATCh points while we are at it. I even forgot if he’s got all his Elite titles in ASCA. I don’t think… Continue reading »

Yes I Own an Intact Male – and Yes I Am So Against Breeding

Jet Stacked

Okay I’m not totally against breeding. There are some dang good breeders out there that produce very nice, quality, healthy dogs. I am against backyard breeders and people who just willy-nilly say that they are going to breed their dogs. I was at Petco today and had Jet with me. And it does kinda get annoying to say, 10 times, that no, he’s not a Jack Russel Terrier, he’s not much like a Terrier, he’s a Danish Swedish Farmdog. But… Continue reading »

Web Sites

You know sometimes I really toy with the idea of paying someone to design my websites for me.  Not necessarily this one, but I have a site, UtahDogs.com, that I’d love to get a professional design for.  I’ve been looking at this Internet Retail Connection site and they seem to do some really nice work.

They have a portfolio that has some really nice looking sites with good layout on them.  I like the colors and the layouts. I’m always so picky about the layout of my sites… and the colors. I usually don’t like too much color, though right now this blog, Tip Tail, has a lot of color on it and it’s making me happy for now.  :)

The Internet Retail Connection Company even has a page all about who they are, which I like, because it makes me think they are a personal site with a good connection to their customers.  And they look friendly and like a good team of people.

So I’m going to think about it some more.  Do some research on what kind of web design layouts they do, and if they have any experience doing dog related, or pet related, websites.  And they have some great customer reviews, too!

Chase’s DOCNA Championship Ribbons

Chase at DOCNA Championships

Well we had fun at DOCNA Championships in Grand Junction, Colorado! Chase was a good boy and did good. I only got made at him… err… I think once. LOL that is pretty good for me. He can really push my buttons, that boy. And he’s so fast, if he blows me off it can really irk me. But he did good, even though he dropped a couple of bars. And there was some serious competition in the 20″ class.… Continue reading »
