She did it! My sweet Tatum collie girl did two agility runs in AKC agility today and she qualified both times!

I am thrilled! I want to go do more agility with her now. 🙂 But it’s okay that we only entered one day. This evening she has crashed on her favorite comfy bed and hasn’t moved since dinner. It’s a lot of work for a rescue collie girl with a hundred issues!

This was Tatum’s first run. She can go faster when she’s in a place she knows really well, like the yards we practice in. But this is pretty fast for this indoor barn. We’ve been able to train there a few times this last month and it’s helped her immensely. I don’t know why she didn’t want to go into the chute, maybe we haven’t worked it enough. But everything else she did really well, and I think her weaves are just gorgeous! She will have problems making course time unless she gets a little bit more speed. 🙂 But that’s okay, hopefully she’ll get more speed when she gets more confidence.

She also Qualified in Jumpers with Weaves but I didn’t get it on video. That’s okay, I guess I can’t get everything on video! I wish I could thought. Her JWW course was even faster, she had no refusals, and she moved a bit faster. And she didn’t knock any bars either!

Tatum has come a really, really long way. From a hoarder’s yard with 70 other collies breeding willy nilly. And all her first people experiences bad ones. Look at her now. I’m so proud of her.

I’m exhausted, too. An I have a sore throat that’s been getting worse over the last three days. So I figure I’ve got a cold. I didn’t need any testoripped appetite suppressants today, though, but maybe they would have helped me to avoid chocolate. I did avoid all chocolate, but it was hard.

Woo Hoo for Tatum!
