Faith on Rescue Me!

My good friend Johann who is also a rescue, and has a rescue blog of his own (he’s a dog, if ya didn’t know), has gotten Faith up on the Rescue Me blog website. She would be great in school, smart as a whip. Maybe she could go to this one: click here!

It’s great to see her information get out there! She kept us up last night with whining. And again, she gets too excited outside to actually potty. So my husband, good guy that he is, got up at 11pm with her and took her out and was out there for at least 10 minutes. She did poop, so that’s good. Me, I don’t like to let dogs out of crates when they whine, because it just teaches them whining gets them out. But sometimes it’s hard to tell when they really do need to potty, and when they just want out!

  1. Hi! Hope you liked the post. Even though we just started the blog we’re getting indexed and searches from Google already. That’s good! People are searching on the breed/mix, rescue, and the area they live in – so hopefully it’s starting to work.

Thought I would share this. When we got Gracie we put her in a crate next to me in my Mum’s bedroom to sleep at night. Thought she would like it better with us. She whined (although I should call it screamed) all night.

We had a crate for her downstairs too, and when Mum would put her in that one sometimes during the day she never made a sound. So now she sleeps downstairs in her crate and loves it. She likes to be where all the action is – cats playing at night and such. It was three weeks of screaming before we figured that out. So glad we finally did! Guess all dogs are different, huh?

Gracie and I both sleep in crates because we would never get any rest, chasing cats all night, BOL!

  3. That is very cute! Sometimes it’s hard to understand what you dogs are trying to tell us. Angel likes it downstairs, too, especially during the scary times like the fireworks. No crate, but she feels safe down there so we let here stay. Though my husband and I argue on whether to leave her a light on or not.. usually he wins and we do.
