Angel is Gone

We let Angel go this morning. The vet thinks she may have had a brain tumor. Her right eye no longer worked as of yesterday… she couldn’t open or close it, you could just see the red of her third eyelid. And she was pacing in circles. She wasn’t in a good place anymore.

I slept all day after we let her got his morning. It’s my way to avoid emotions. Now I eat because I think I should, not because I’m hungry. And drink for the same reason. I know we’ll get through this, but it’s not going to be very easy.

My husband came with as we let her go. He is a wonderful man and he cried with me.

  1. oh cynthia, I am so sorry! It has been a long journey to this point and the journey through grief always takes time. Please take care of you and all let the other pups in your house take care of you both too, they will be grieving with you and aaron. We are glad you are not alone, but so sorry for your pain.

  3. I’m about to cry after reading this… I feel for you sweetie, I really do. I know how unbearably hard it is to let go and its the hardest decision a doggie parent has to make. Angel was well loved… you gave her the second chance at a normal life that she deserved. You changed her life as much as she changed yours!

  4. I am soooo soooo sorry, I did not know Angel in person but just reading your posts I could feel how much she was loved and how special she was. You were a fantastic friend to her and helped her in every way you could, what a lucky girl to have lived such a loved life with you. I wish I could be there and give you a huge hug. This has to be an unbelievably hard time but take care of yourself, I am sure Angel would want that especially after you took such good care of her.
