So I have a question for all you dogs out there. Especially you young dogs. Why is it, when there are a zillion stuffy toys, rope toys, balls, tug toys etc… strewn around the house on the floor, why is it that you go for the pen, or the shoe? I mean.. what is the fascination about the pen? Is it because it came out of the bag, and stealing a toy is more fun than just picking one up?
Do I need to hide toys in hard to get places to make them more exciting? 🙂
My dog writes:
Because they aren’t my toys. You bought them, so their as much mine as anything else of yours. And I do what I want.
Hiding the toys won’t fool me. If I want a toy, I’ll take it. If I want a pen, I’ll take it.

According to my dogs, if an object doesn’t have my scent on it, it isn’t much fun. The things I handle the most (books I use to teach classes, pens, shoes, etc.) are prized.

Hi David’s dog. 🙂 Well then! Yes, around here, we say “toys is toys”!
