Tatum’s ILP Pictures

I’m going to send in Tatum’s pictures for ILP. I believe her official registered name is going to be Tatum Tot Spice. To stay in line with the Spice theme started with Angel and continued with Chase.

I’m bad at names.. I’ve been considering changing her name to Pixie, which I really like… but I think it’s a bit too silly. And even though she is a silly sprite, I’d like her to have a more intelligent name, which Tatum seems to be to me. So we will leave her name as is. It’s a unique name, which I like. And it seems to fit her, and she already responds to it.

And of course this shot I had to post here, because what a cute head tilt that is! When I separate her from the other dogs she remains shy. She doesn’t like it when I walk up to her. I wanted to get a good stack on her but my Husband is playing WoW and cannot be disturbed. 🙂 but I think these are good shots anyway. She does seem to have a straight front, but many collies do. I think her back end is fairly nice, though.

Good for agility, flyball, obedience and herding!

  1. Looks like a Collie to me, is that right? LOL!!!! Just kiddin’ ya!

I remember when I sent in for Johann’s ILP. I was envious of my friend getting to do more agility than I and our trainer said – do an ILP, what can it hurt? Some said BC, but most all said sheltie and since I knew Johann’s Mum was a sheltie, that’s what I did. In his front pic he was kind of lying down on grass (which I don’t think is allowed now), and in his side pic he looked so unhappy! But he had a sheltie coat then (has lost it since) and looked just like one. Got his ILP in five days!

Back then I just didn’t understand all the hullabaloo about ILP’s. I made a lot of people upset cause I got one and they hadn’t when they had tried so hard to get one. But unlike them, I get a lot of looks at trials. But now folks are saying – he looks like the old, old, old time working shelties of yore, which always makes my chest puff up!

I hope you get it fast!!!! The pics are great!

BTW – JoJo got another DQ today and a 1st in standard – what am I gonna do with him! Give him loads of kisses I guess.

  3. Hi Johann…
I think you look like a sheltie! And even so, I think AKC should allow mixed breeds in performance events. All dogs should have a go!

Lots of people have told me Chase looks like a Flat Coat Retriever. And at camp the herding people said he acted more like a retriever than a herding breed. So who knows? I’d love to get the genetic test on him someday.

That is awesome you got the ILP in five days, wow!
